You can actually purchse tickets online from the Bolshoi Theatre. I did it a few years ago and saw the Nutcracker - it was a really nice experience.

http://boxoffice.bolshoi.ru/eng/sales.html

You can visit the schedule page and see the schedule as well:

http://www.bolshoi.ru/en/poster/?&_SERVER=Array&m26=12&y26=2009

The Nutcracker is being performed on the 30th and the 31st.

Enjoy!

In a big city you can survive on ~400 roubles (~13..15) a day.
1. 2kg of pelmeni : ~ 200 roubles
2. 1.5 litre of beer: ~ 150 roubles
3. 200 g of bread: ~ 10 roubles
4. Tea, sugar, salt, pepper etc: ~200 roubles a trip.
_________________
I am studying English language.
I'm obviously expecting it to be cold and snowy. Are boots the norm? With heels or without?

And ice as well that no one clean. Methinks no heels is ok.

Quote:

Once it get's a bit warmer, do girls wear the rubber rain boots (wellies) in wet weather? Or would more fashionable leather boots be more appropriate?

The former, i.e. rubber hunter boots? I doubt. Peasant style (brown/darkgreen) or downright weird (pink, etc)
_________________
The giant woodpecker, not encountered in nature, can peck to death a small elephant.
