In Russia there is official import of both Chevrolet Tahoe and TrailBlazer.
The price is not that differet from that in the US. (compared to prices of some other import cars).

Now - I am interested in a Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS, which costs app. USD 37.000 all in in the US. That is cheaper than the Tahoe (with all the equipment), which costs app. USD 60.000 in Russia, and can be negotiated to 56-58.000.

Would it be possible to import a TrailBlazer SS ?
What would an estimated price be ?
Who can help me do this ?

Thanks a lot.

The car import thing has been discussed many many times. Do a search here.

The bottom line is: The customs and import taxes and registration will cost you the same $60,000. It's all part of the Russian Cunning Plan. You can't win buying a car outside of Russia and bringing it in. They're gonna get their money one way or another.

Thanks for the reply.

I am not looking to save money.
It is just that if I want the TrailBlazer SS in Russia, I need to import myself.
There is no import at the moment, and I want that car.

So who can help me ?

Thanks !

Everyone who wants to import or export a car seems to like to make a new thread of his own for it. Is it because the questions are so specific? Or are car-owners just incredibly lazy? Too lazy to use the search function on the forum and discover that it will give you 249 hits.... :S

This gives you a small listing of similar threads: http://www.waytorussia.net/TalkLounge/viewtopic.php?t=3857

(Yes, i know: this is a double post....)
