The Guide to Russian Music

The Russian music scene does not have a lot of original material to offer, however, there are some musicians and bands who deserve to be mentioned. The legendary Vladimir Vysotsky, Igor Stravinsky and Kino are of course beyond any comparison, but the other bands, especially the ones formed in the recent years (Tesla Boy, Mujuice) are very interesting if you want to hear what electronic music is like in Russia these days. Also, look out for the clubs they play in – these are usually the best places to go out.
