Lovers of mysterious Scandinavian music, attention, please! One of the most interesting contempoprary Swedish bands - a duo jj - will have their first performance in St. Petersburg this August.
Emerged in 2009, jj has released 2 studio albums and has also done several covers and new takes on contemporary songs. The band consists of Joakim Benon and Elin Kastlander.
As described by Pitchfork jj band "creates a warm, wistful world out of douchey spoken-word samples, rippling acoustic guitar arpeggios, beach-party percussion, and all sorts of sighing instrumental ambience; willowy female vocals about sweet dreams and secret places float on top".
Prior to jj you will hear Surtsey Sounds - an Iceland-inspired post-rock band from St. Petersburg.
