Italian, French, American Cuisine Restaurants in Moscow:

The finest European and American restaurants in Moscow.

Syrnaya Dyrka (Cheese Hole). If you
Syrnaya Dyrka restaurant Moscow
ever thought about finding a restaurant in Moscow that would be exactly like some small cozy European family restaurant, this is the place. Well hidden in Kitai Gorod sidelanes, this is the best restaurant I visited in the last few months in Moscow. It has a very comfortable environment and delicious European, mainly Swiss, cuisine. The smooth interior is made to look like you've walked inside a cheese hole, hence the name. A nice terrace outside. Average bill is about $30 for a person. The restaurant is very small, so reservations are highly recommended. A great place for any occasion, especially, if you want to relax.
Address: Moscow, Pokrovsky Boulevard, #6/20, metro Kitai Gorod or Taganskaya (violet line), tel.: (095) 917-1676.

Hard Rock Cafe Moscow. Opened at the end of 2003 this place become popular immediately, though the meals are disgusting and overpriced and alcohol beverages
Hard Rock Cafe Moscow

are no good either. People come there to listen to the hits of 1950-1990, dance and get fun. Visitors are mostly 20-30 years old Russians and foreigners. Go there if you want to get drunk, meet new friends, have good time, or just put the add Moscow to your worldwide Hard Rock cafe collection (if you're into it).
Address: Arbat str., 44/1, metro Smolenskaya (blue line), tel.: (095) 244-8973, http://www.hardrockcafe.ru/

T.G.I. Friday's. Back to America with traditional US interiors and food. Large steaks, great variety of cocktails, and lively atmosphere. Average bill about $30 per person.
Address: Moscow, Tverskaya st., #18/2. Tel (095) 200-3921. Opened 14.00 - 1.00.

Cicco Pizza. Just a good pizzeria, the main advantage is the location: right on Kamergersky pereulok, a few meters from Tverskaya street. The pizzas cost from $5 to $10. By the way, there are a lot of other restaurants nearby, an internet cafe, and a bank, so it's quite practical for tourists.
Address: Kamergersky Pereulok, #5/7 (near MKhAT theater), metro Okhotny Ryad, Teatralnaya. Opened 9.00 to 0.00.

La Grotta. Quite known Italian restaurant conveniently located in Patriarshy Ponds area. Serves tasty Italian classics for moderate prices. A dinner will cost about $30 per person, and from Monday to Friday from 12.00 till 16.00 the business-lunch is offered for $7 only.
The interior is sort of minimalist style, so if there are not many people around you may feel a bit lonely.
Address: Bolshaya Bronnaya st., #27/4, metro Pushkinskaya, Tverskaya (near Patriashy Ponds area). Tel.: (095) 200-3057.
